On the morning of 24 September, Kong Junmin, Chairman of Zhongxiruan Group, and his delegation visited Guangdong Qianhai Law Firm (“Qianhai Law Firm”). They were warmly received by Lan Caiming, Director of the Management Committee, and the team led by Eunice Yan, who took part in the full discussion. Ma Xue, Chairwoman and founder of a global investment bank, also attended.

At the outset, the two sides introduced their respective institutions, core business strengths and strategic positioning. As a leading enterprise in the intellectual property sector, Zhongxiruan Group covers the full IP chain — IP prosecution, IP transactions, downstream rights enforcement and IP-related financial value-added services — with deep industry experience and strong service capabilities. In the face of new opportunities presented by the AI era and Chinese brands going global, the group is actively exploring how AI can empower IP services, driving the digital and intelligent upgrading of those services and helping innovators maximise the value of their intellectual property.

Qianhai Law Firm has a strong IP team with deep roots in cross-border e-commerce, IP protection and cross-border litigation, and has built mature service concepts and extensive industry resources. It has notable strengths in foreign-related IP legal services and can provide professional, integrated legal solutions for companies of all kinds.

In the discussion, the two sides examined the current industry environment and explored how to deepen work in the IP field, exchanging views on key issues such as expanding service areas, target client groups and innovative service models.

Both sides agreed that, against the backdrop of AI innovation and Chinese brands going global, IP services need to close the full loop from “rights establishment to transactions, enforcement and financial operation”, and that legal services and IP industry services should be deeply integrated. A law firm’s legal expertise, combined with Zhongxiruan’s industry services and digital AI capabilities, creates complementary strengths that can better serve innovative domestic companies and market participants expanding overseas.
Following thorough communication, the two sides reached a cooperation consensus to further strengthen resource sharing and business coordination, combine their respective strengths, and jointly build a more complete comprehensive IP service system, providing full-cycle IP protection for companies generally and for outbound companies in particular, helping them safeguard their innovations and achieve high-quality development.
